Long, late summer.

When I’m writing this, it is late September. We have passed the autumnal equinox and the days are rapidly becoming shorter as autumn is drawing close. This August and September we have been blessed with the most wonderful and persistent summer weather. Warm, sunny and far to dry if you ask the garden. But we are quite content, apart from the watering of course. It is so much easier to accept the unavoidable cold and dark if summer has been a good one. I’m not really cut for Swedish winters, thinking seriously about emigrating every November till February…

The garden reach it’s peak in late summer, with late flowering perennials and grasses. Everything is laid back and easy. Even the bees seem a bit more relaxed than earlier in the season.

Tusen tack Annelie! Det blir ju mycket rosa och lila, även om det också kikar in en hel del orange på hösten 🙂 Vi hörs! /Stefan
